The interfaces and data structures required to exchange sensing-related information in order to increase interoperability between sensors and their clients developed by different manufacturers are defined in this standard. The logical interface and supporting data structures are defined abstractly without constraining the sensing technology, client design, or data link between sensor and client. The entities involved and parameters exchanged in this process. It further elaborates on the service access points, service primitives, as well as generic procedures used to realize this information exchange, are defined by this standard.

IEEE Standard for Spectrum Sensing Interfaces and Data Structures for Dynamic Spectrum Access and Other Advanced Radio Communication Systems Amendment 2: Spectrum Database Interfaces
This amendment to IEEE Std 1900.6-2011 adds procedures, protocols, and message format specifications for the exchange of sensing related data, control data, and configuration data between spectrum sensors and spectrum databases. In addition, it adds specifications for the exchange of sensing related data between the data archive and spectrum databases, and the cognitive engine and spectrum databases.

IEEE Standard for Spectrum Sensing Interfaces and Data Structures for Dynamic Spectrum Access and Other Advanced Radio Communication Systems - Corrigendum 1
Terms and definitions are modified in this corrigendum to IEEE Std 1900.6(TM)-2011, in response to comments received during the approval process of IEEE Std 1900.1a(TM)-2012 and IEEE Std 1900.6a(TM)-2014, which could not be considered in the 1900.6a amendment. The use of terms and definitions in IEEE Std 1900.6 are aligned by these corrections, with their use in the scope of IEEE Std 1900.1.
1900.6a-2014
IEEE Standard for Spectrum Sensing Interfaces and Data Structures for Dynamic Spectrum Access and Other Advanced Radio Communication Systems - Amendment 1: Procedures, Protocols, and Data Archive Enhanced Interfaces
Included in this amendment to IEEE Std 1900.6(TM) are procedures, protocols, and message format specifications for the exchange of sensing related data, control data, and configuration data between spectrum sensors and their clients. In addition, specifications for the exchange of sensing related and other relevant data and related interfaces between the data archive and other data sources have been added.
