The performance, test requirements, procedures, and acceptance criteria for a transmission line overhead ground wire (a.k.a. shield wire, static wire, earth wire, skywire) with optical fibers commonly known as optical ground wire (OPGW) are covered in this standard. Functional requirements such as electrical, mechanical, optical fiber, environmental, and packaging, and test requirements related to design, installation, in-service, and maintenance, including routine tests are also covered.
In February 2019 a Project Authorization Request was approved by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Standards Association with the title “Standard for Global Navigation Satellite System Reflectometry (GNSS-R) Data and Metadata Content”. A Working Group was assembled to develop this standard with the purpose of unifying and documenting GNSS-R calibration procedures and product level definitions. The Working Group (https://sagroups.ieee.org/4003/) includes members, collaborators, and contributors from academia, international space agencies, and private industry. In a face-to-face meeting held during the ARSI+KEO 2019 Conference, the need was recognized to develop a standard with a wide range of operations, providing…
This standard covers the performance, test requirements, procedures, and acceptance criteria for a transmission line overhead ground wire (a.k.a. shield wire, static wire, earth wire, skywire) with optical fibers commonly known as optical ground wire (OPGW). An OPGW cable has the dual performance functions of a ground wire with telecommunications capabilities. This standard includes functional requirements such as electrical, mechanical, optical fiber, environmental and packaging, and test requirements related to design, installation, in-service, maintenance, including routine tests. This standard is not intended to supersede any established safety rules, codes, regulations, or practices associated with the use of OPGW cables. It…
Methods of sanitizing logical storage 1 and physical storage as well as providing technology-specific requirements and guidance for the elimination of recorded data is specified in this standard.
This guide provides system design considerations, identifies information display and control techniques for use with computer-based displays, and provides human factors engineering guidance for the use of these techniques in nuclear power generating stations and other nuclear facilities.
