IEEE PC37.17

This standard pertains to the requirements for current and voltage protective functions of: 1) direct-acting overcurrent electromechanical trip devices 2) direct-acting overcurrent electronic trip systems 3) reverse-current trip systems 4) undervoltage trip devices that are integral with low-voltage ac (1000 V and below) and general-purpose low-voltage dc (1500 V and below) power circuit breakers covered by IEEE Std C37.13, and IEEE Std C37.14. Additional information, communication and/or additional internal or external protective functions or devices are not covered by this standard. This standard should not be interpreted to restrict the inclusion of such functionality in the device.

This standard provides the definitions and terminologies, reference model and data structure of Complex Virtual Instruments (CVIs) for Internet of Things (IoT). CVIs framework, including architectural model, protocols and data interface requirements is also defined to allow for flexible and scalable solutions to CVIs Interoperability and easy-to-implement cloud services that are able to be maintained in a sustainable manner.

This guide is applicable to the measurement of Frequency Response Analysis (FRA) of an oil-immersed power transformer. The guide will include the requirements and specifications for instrumentation, procedures for performing the tests, techniques for analyzing the data, and recommendations for long-term storage of the data and results. This guide can be used in both field and factory applications.

The standard provides technical requirements for power system cybersecurity. Based on sound engineering practices, requirements can be applied to achieve high levels of cybersecurity of power system automation, protection and control systems independent of voltage level or criticality of cyber assets.

This standard provides a framework for organization and use of new patient biomedical files containing medical imaging and imaging biomarker information for use in big data cloud-based augmented intelligence systems. In addition, this standard defines 3D digital topological mapping of information and data to human macroanatomy and microanatomy. Included in this standard are requirements to assure compliance with ethical design and value-based design standards to assure (1) patient data security with full access, sharing, and user control of their personal data; and (2) protection of the professional fiduciary relationships between physicians and patients.
