The application of online infrared inspection systems for substations is introduced in this recommended practice. The system composition, functional and performance requirements, test methods, and test rules are provided, as well as a comprehensive framework for realizing accurate and efficient infrared online inspection.

Recommended Practice for Operational Quality Assessments of Infrared Online Systems for Substation Inspection
This recommended practice provides calibration methods for system temperature measurement accuracy, evaluation procedures for temperature measurement consistency, and monitoring indicators for long-term stability. It applies to the substation infrared online inspection system defined in IEEE 3326.
